Wow! Have I been busy! I'm just finishing up my teacher license here in Wisconsin. I will be licensed to teach k-12 Theatre and 6-12 English. I am currently teaching 8th grade at Syble Hopp in De Pere, WI. Not much time to paint anymore, except to prep an art project for my students that is!! LOL

I'll try and update more often. You can find me on Facebook and Myspace, just search for marty and the city I live in, I'm pretty hard to miss! hahahahahaha

Here are my two newest paintings! Told you I'd be painting again soon! I'm going to have a sales booth at the local art fairs and farmers market! But since you all love me, I give you the first look at my paintings! I'm hoping to have the matted prints available for sale before June 1! So you'll get a print, matted to fit an 18X24 frame, in plastic, shipped to you free! Watch for updates!

How am I feeling?: busy

Wow have things been busy! So we have landed, in Green Bay, WI. Taking care of Bridgets 70 year old mother.

I'm working for a company called "Kidstage" it's an afterschool theatre program for grade school children. I teach 3 classes a week and am the Managing Director/Artistic Director for the entire Green Bay area. It's a fabulous program that teaches children to be creative, and unafraid by playing acting games and performing in shows.

I'm going to school full time again, working on my MA in education and my teachers license. I'm going to teach High School Theatre and Lit.

I've been painting again so watch the gallery for new additions to come in the next few days. I'm building up a stock so I can have a booth to sell my paintings at the farmers market and art festivals around WI this summer!

Other than that, it's busy busy busy. Bridget says hi to everyone, she's just now starting to job hunt and has some great prospects so things will be a little more stable with us soon and I'll be posting more often.

My very first set design was nominated as a regional finalist in the KCACTF Region 8 festival.

I did NOT get advanced to the nationals, but learned a LOT about design and the entire process.

I'll post some pictures of my design again and a picture of the model when it returns via postal service.

Sorry for the delay in posting, but life has been busy with my Studies and other works. So without further ado here are some of the projects I've been working on for your pleasure.

Here is the still life I did for painting class. We had to use a mostly warm or mostly cool pallete.

My first Cabin! This was done with a palette of Prussian Blue, Titanium white and Vandyke Brown only. For Sale with frame, $200

Watch this site as I"m about to become a lot more prolific with my paintings. I have 4 canvases drying with a blue acrylic prime so I can do more sea creatures!!! I'm so excited about belonging to the Fremont Art Association Gallery. I worked there last Friday as my first day and will be there Weds. from noon till 5. It's on Niles blvd. next to Bronco Billy's pizza.

Baby Bunny

This was my first attempt at a real animal. It is my 1st project in painting class. I painted the canvas black, then wiped out all non black areas with a rag. We were also limited to a pallette of brown, blue and white.

So I didn't get any painting done yesterday, just turned into a lazy afternoon.

Today, Monday, HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!:

I am outside painting right now. Working on my first seascape. I'm starting with a black canvas so this should be interesting!! Come on over, watch, sing, dance, bring drinks and chips and music and we will have an art festival in my front yard!!!

And if not, thats ok too, I have rum, I have juice, I have a boom box, I'm a walking party!!! :P

I'll post a picture of the painting, as always when I'm done.

This is my new LJ and temporary website while my webmaster builds EMCCreations.com

I will display new paintings here as well as post updates about whats going on with my painting career, art festivals/fairs/sales I will be at so you can come say hi!!

Please tell everyone you know about my site if you like the paintings, the more people who enjoy my paintings the better! Art is for ALL to enjoy and I hope you all enjoy mine as much as I do!

If you see a painting you like, email me and let me know you're interested. Prices are negoitable based on the painting in question and other factors. I have bills to pay like everyone else, but can't stand to see someone NOT own one of my paintings that they like. I'm even open to trade for services or other products, don't be afraid to ask me!

I'm spending today (Sunday Sept. 3, 2006) on my front porch, painting, drinking, grilling, and hanging out, come on over, bring some chips or drinks and some cd's to rock out to and lets enjoy the beautiful day!
